Announcing the 48th SASHA workshop in the Compliance and Beyond Series.

Theme: Conundrum of Workplace harassment VS. Sexual harassment

Internal Committees (IC) often encounter complex cases, where elements of Workplace Harassment (WH) and Sexual Harassment (SH) intersect. This intersection poses a challenge to distinguish between the two, determine the form of harassment in each case, and conduct a fair inquiry.

This workshop delves into the intricacies of navigating such cases, providing knowledge and skills to make informed decisions. Through interactive discussions, preliminary analysis and case scenarios, participants will gain insights into:

1. The scope and limitations of IC inquiries.

2. Strategies for addressing complaints that involve both WH and SH elements, and determining the appropriate course of action.

3. Adapting the inquiry approach when perceived SH complaint is revealed to be WH.
